Space Heaters for Niagara: Three Models Compared

Winter comfort · product specs · checked 2026-10-26

A portable heater can add heat where someone is sitting, but the right choice depends on the room, electrical circuit, controls and safe placement. These three models use different formats: compact ceramic heaters and a taller tower design. Their published specifications are compared here; there has been no hands-on test, and no price or local availability is claimed. Check the exact model on the product label before relying on a feature list.

Use a space heater with clearance and a direct wall connection

Ontario's Electrical Safety Authority says to use a heater with a recognized Canadian approval mark, keep it at least 3 feet from combustible materials, plug it directly into a wall outlet, keep its cord out from under rugs and furniture, and turn it off when leaving or when it is not in use. Do not use an extension cord or power bar for a portable heater.
